Support the regional S&ER Strategy and execution through consistent systems across the LATAM region, ensuring alignment between corporate, region and sites in the implementation and management of standards, procedures, policies as well as work methods and tools.

Professional Education:
Bachelor´s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration Social Sciences or related field (Economics, Political Sciences, Anthropology, Sociology)
Post- graduate studies in related subject areas desired.

About this role
What will you be responsible for?
Support the regional S&ER Strategy and execution through consistent systems across the LATAM region, ensuring alignment between corporate, region and sites in the implementation and management of standards, procedures, policies as well as work methods and tools.

- We own the External Relations Strategic Planning process and the definition and implementation of Action Plans across the region,ensuring consistency through a common methodology,Planning Guide and tools;We facilitate knowledge and standard methodologies sharing between S&ER Site Teams.
- Drive the execution of quarterly reviews to monitor progress of S&ER Site Action Plans and milestones established in annual planning (review with S&ER Vice-President LATAM and S&ER Site teams.)
- We serve as a Subject Matter Authority on the regional strategic and action planning approach and method providing guidance to S&ER Site Leads.
- Coordinate S&ER-related risk assessments and quarterly risk reviews.
- We ensure audit readiness of sites for Corporate Standards Audits working with sites´ S&ER teams to support planning and preparation for audits.
- Supervise across sites implementation of action plans resulting from audits and reviews to the S&ER function,ensuring compliance (social,financial audits/reviews,economic studies,social surveys, S&ER project evaluation.)
- We support the conduction of the sites´ Corporate Standards Gap Assessments and the establishment of Gap Closure Action Plans to reach compliance.
- We coordinate quarterly reviews to supervise progress with Gap Closure Action Plans (resulting from Corporate Standards Assessment / Audits,) in coordination with S&ER Site Leads and teams.
- We drive across sites the consistent application of corporate standards,operating procedures,tools and work processes to embed them in site practices. We collaborate closely with S&ER Site teams and Corporate to ensure common understanding and implementation of corporate standards guidelines, requirements and evaluation criteria.
- We drive the process of relevant regional metric formulation,definition and approval by S&ER Regional VP and Site Leads (at the request of Regional VP S&ER and/or Corporate,) coordinating with Sites, Region and Corporate.
- We are responsible for the implementation and reporting on Public Targets for the S&ER function, working with and supporting S&ER Site teams. We Facilitate the development and management of relevant regional S&ER systems in coordination and alignment with S&ER Corporate and Site Leads.
- Consolidate and track country updates and progress with implementation of corporate updates (e.g., LATAM meeting, Newmont Fund Steer Co, etc.)
- Prepare and track S&ER regional office budget in line with Business Plan,coordinate budget planning process and validation between sites and Region,supervise and monitor budget performance of sites across the region as well as cost optimization initiatives.

- Strong strategic planning and project management skills, including schedule monitoring with ability to achieve deadlines and manage priorities.
- Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, Cintellate, Enablon, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with S&ER Standards and audit processes.
- Must align with a core set of values and beliefs and demonstrate integrity and ethics, building trust with teams across sites.
- Sensitive and receptive to an inclusive organizational context.
- Strong collaboration, communication, relationship building, presentation skills.
