As the successful candidate, you will be:
- Ensuring the delivery of project requirements as they relate to scope, quantities, cost and schedule for the Structures drafting team
- Mentoring and supervising junior draftspersons
- Producing and maintaining technical and engineering drawings as required
- Checking drawings prior to release - ensuring all drawings are to an acceptable quality and level of presentation
- Participating in formal engineering reviews and ensuring any corrective actions are completed
- Maintaining the group's coordination with designers and engineers within the civil/structural disciplines
- A champion of inclusion and diversity
You bring to the role:
Essential
- Civil/Structural Engineering associate diploma
- Demonstrated drafting experience within the Infrastructure sector (e.g. bridges, retaining walls, gantries, culverts, noise walls and associated works for an engineering consultancy or government organisation
- Solid experience in a senior drafting role
- Thorough understanding of Australian standards; as well as statutory and regulatory requirements
- Working knowledge of state road design criteria for roads, ideally VicRoads
- Knowledge of rail design/drafting criteria for VicRoads, VicTrack and MTR is advantageous
- Highest personal safety standards
- Extensive experience with the documentation of bridges, retaining walls, gantries, culverts
- Noise walls and associated works
- Extensive experience working in Microstation 3D, Aecosim, Autocad 2020, Revit
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- A desire to achieve results including the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
