About the role

We are looking for an experienced Training Supervisor to join our Capability Development team. This is a critical role in leading a small team of technical trainers delivering business critical Rail Safeworking training to our Rail Operations & Maintenance teams.

This role is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic and a 'can do' attitude to lead, support and mentor this newly formed team within Capability Development. Working with and reporting to the Superintendent Capability Development Rail, you will be coordinating, scheduling and facilitating all Rail Safeworking training requirements across multiple locations (7 Mile, Cape Lambert and Inland operations).

About You

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment (or willingness to attain)
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership experience supervising a training or service delivery team
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and/or LMS systems
  • Strong working knowledge of Prospect Reporting and data analysis
  • Experience in dynamic scheduling and resource allocation
  • Strong knowledge of the Learning Management Framework and its application
  • Highly organized with the ability to work with multiple stakeholder groups at any given point
  • Experience in presenting, facilitating, coaching and developing to achieve operational capability outcomes
  • Experience in the application of adult learning principals as well as a willingness to be open to changing learning and development techniques including the use of technology
  • The capability to engage and influence at all levels of business along with managing projects from inception to execution within targeted timeframes
  • Business acumen, experience in data analysis and providing insights with a strong attention to detail
  • Self-driven, results-oriented with a strong focus on high quality business outcomes and able to respond positively to change
  • Experience working in Rail will be highly regarded.
