Job Description

Kinross is looking for a Business or Human Resources student to assist the Human Resources Department during the summer of 2022.

Job Responsibilities

Work with the Talent Management, Leadership, and Learning teams. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Assist with talent management activities
  • Run reports in HRIS
  • Assist with nomination and selection process for Living Our Values Awards
  • Assist with logistics and planning for Living Our Values Awards
  • Support with drafting and sending communications
  • Support with invoice processing
  • Work with external vendors as needed
  • Assist with LMS administration
  • Research learning technology applications
  • Other general administrative tasks


Scope of Responsibility and Complexity

  • Work is varied and requires strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Work intensity will vary significantly over the course of the summer term


Education and Experience

  • 2nd or 3rd year Business or Human Resources student
  • Previous intern or volunteer experience in HR is considered an asset


Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to perform well independently as well as on a team
  • Superior analytical skills in excel, and great attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • PowerPoint and presentation creation skills are an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Spanish/French/Portuguese/Russian language ability would be an asset
