Description

Under general supervision, responsible for materials management of the assigned department by scheduling and prioritizing activities in collaboration with site leadership. Uses SAP and QMS management systems to achieve the assigned planning and scheduling objectives. Responsible for effective planning, scheduling, communication, auditing, forecasting, and monitoring inventory levels. Supports the functional direction of Global Supply Chain and Quality Management Principles and how that integrates into the direction, strategy, and vision for sales forecasts, demand planning, production planning, and inventory optimization.
  • Coordinates and plans outbound concentrate shipping activities within SAP for assigned area(s). This includes but is not limited to "turn-arounds" or shutdowns in coordination with Master Production and SOP planning needs of the company.
  • Coordinates onsite Global Supply Chain Quality Management System, for assigned area(s). This includes but is not limited to maintaining and auditing the integrity of SAP and Quality Management Systems for assigned area(s).
  • Through interaction with leadership, determine raw materials, WIP requirements and finished goods packaging taking into consideration the operations capabilities to develop daily, monthly and long-term production plans consistent with the corporate master plan and schedules. Performs troubleshooting of inventory discrepancies.
  • Prepare and communicate plant production schedules on a daily, weekly and monthly basis in coordination with the Operations Manager and Regional S&OP requirements to optimize customer satisfaction and production efficiencies. Responsible for the integrity of the S&OP planning data, including inventory levels as reported on a routine basis. Prepares various production and inventory reports.
  • Confer with supervision to determine status of the production schedule. Expedite production on a routine basis if needed, minimize impact of scheduling delays and implement effective alternatives in coordination with other producing sites to obtain optimal supply chain efficiencies.
  • Perform other duties as requested.
  • Works on moderately complex issues, implements solutions through a coordination of efforts.
  • Collaborates with site supervision, peers in the same functional area at other sites, and the corporate planning group along with sales.
  • Works under moderate to minimal supervision and has latitude to set priorities and timelines that are typically governed by the master plan.
  • Has no budget responsibility.
  • Does not manage people or a departmental function.


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in applicable field and three (3) years of related experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Materials Management, Finance, Accounting, or Industrial Operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrate safety leadership.
  • Ability and willingness e traveling between sites


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Proficient in SAP and Excel
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 QMS Standards
  • Detail oriented
  • Self-starter


Criteria/Conditions:
  • Location requires mobility in an office environment; each floor is accessible by elevator. Occasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting.
  • Must be able to frequently sit, stand and walk.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 10 pounds.
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment.
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required.

Pay Range :

$69,400 - $94,000 Annually

Rate of pay dependent on competency, experience, qualifications and skills
