About the opportunity

The Downer Utilities business group embarked on a transformation programme to migrate to Microsoft Dynamics (MSD) as the proven choice in managing workflows between our clients and our people in the Water & Automation, Telecommunications and Power & Gas streams.

As we continue on our transformation journey, the Training Delivery Specialist will be integral to ensuring training needs are well defined and to help employees cultivate their skills and knowledge. You will provide complete training to share your expertise in ways that motivate others. This is initially a fixed term position from February 2022 - through to June 2022.

Responsibilities:

• Liaise with managers to determine training needs and schedule training sessions
• Design effective training programs
• Select and book venues
• Conduct seminars, workshops, individual training sessions etc.
• Prepare educational material such as module summaries, videos etc.
• Support and mentor new employees
• Keep attendance and other records
• Conduct evaluations to identify areas of improvement

About you:

Working with the programme team, the Training Delivery Specialist will be an experienced educator. Your abilities to convey a message should only be surpassed by a deep knowledge of your field. Organisational skills and a positive attitude are important qualities that you have to possess.

We're looking for someone to join our team with the following:

• 5+ years' experience as a trainer in a large multi-disciplined organisation
• Understanding of effective teaching methodologies and tools
• Experience of projects in both new and emerging technologies, legacy applications migration and systems integration.
• Willingness to keep abreast of new techniques in teaching
• Proficient in MS Office (esp. PowerPoint); e-learning software is an asset
• Phenomenal communication, presentation and public speaking skills
• Organisational and time management abilities
• Critical thinking and decision making
