Senior Mining Engineer - Underground | Africa

The Company
A thriving multi-commodity resource company, holding mining operations and development projects across several continents. To be located at the groups key copper business and underground operation in Africa, a Senior Mining Engineer is required to come on board and drive mine engineering function across the underground operation.

Reporting to the Mining Engineering Manager, duties will include:

• Execution of mine planning function;
• Completion of mine design, production & scheduling activities; 
• Assisting in the formulation of the annual budget;
• Support and mentor national technical services personnel;
• Mine ventilation and infrastructure project activities.

Requirements:

• Recognised University Degree in Bachelor of Engineering (Mining);
• Underground metals operations experience;
• High calibre working ability with mining software (Deswik preferred);
• Sound leadership & communication capability;
• Prior experience leading/mentoring technical services personnel.
