  • Ensure underground inspections are carried out for the planned design work.
  • Track activity progress, and provide feedback to schedulers and other disciplines on changes and delays to the mining plan.
  • Ensure Development designs, Drill designs, and Blast designs are available for execution based upon the mine schedule.
  • Ensure Blast monitoring, Downhole surveys and Stope reconciliations are being conducted.
  • The scheduled activities are being tracked and monitored, and communication is provided to other disciplines of the work required in the upcoming 4 weeks.

To be considered you will ideally possess:

  • University degree in Engineering or Geoscience.
  • A minimum of 2 years underground hard rock mining experience, or minimum of 3 years of open cut or underground experience in Coal or Hard Rock.
  • Experience in Drill and Blast and Mine Design.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office software packages and Mine Design software packages such as Surpac, Vulcan, Datamine, or Deswik (preferred).

  • Take pride in your work with a high degree of accuracy and good time management skills.

Other key drivers in our selection will be your ability to fit into our culture and team, with emphasis on our values of Safety, Openness, Entrepreneurism, Responsibility, Simplicity and Integrity.
