GENERAL MANAGER- TECHNICAL SERVICE

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare the MIS
• Generate the Metal account in order to identify the areas where the metal recovery can be improved.
• Monitor the Plant key Performance indicators in order to ensure that each section of the plant achieve the targeted performance.
• Monitoring of equipment’s performance in order to ensure that each of the major equipment’s is healthy and achieve the targeted performance and prevent any equipment breakdown through process preventive maintenance.
• Monitoring of the reagents consumption against the norms as well as the status of the stock in order to prevent running short of reagents and minimize the cost related.
• Plant downtime analysis in order to improve the plant availability and utilization.
• Production cost analysis in order to identify the areas where the cost can be reduced.
• Process troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Plant Performances improvements through study and proposals of process modification.
• Final products quality control in order to identify and address the parameters affecting the product quality and ensure that the quality is maintained within customers specifications.
• Water balance control in order to ensure that the plant runs with minimum raw water consumption and the final effluent discharged is minimum and within the environmental quality regulation norms.
• Prepare the SOPs for the plant and ensure that all the operations are conducted as per the established SOPs
• Technical training of the Process team.
• Take care of the in process streams sampling.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• To guide the production team to produce required quality and quantity, process troubleshooting, Metal accounting and balance and MIS over CHEMAF. Production data analysis. Cobalt SX project-Process and pilot plant management.
• Keep watch on the daily quality and guide the production team to produce best possible quality of finished product.
• Guide the process team to achieve the best possible recovery of Cobalt and Copper.
• Perform process trouble shutting in case of process issues in the plant.
• Keep account on receive, feed, loss and recovery of Cobalt and Copper and metal balance.
• Keep watch on the daily process parameters and find the reasons and solutions for abnormalities.
• Data management and reporting of MIS.
• Process validation for new projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF SUPERVISION:

• Supervise the Technical Services, Metallurgical lab
• Supervise the plant metallurgists.

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Guide the process team to minimize the process cost through higher recovery, better quality and lower consumption.
• Review the daily consumption and compare with the norm and find the reason and solution for abnormal consumption.

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:

• Minimum 15-20 years of relevant experince in Mining department
• Must have a formal tertiary qualification in Chemical/Metallurgical Engineering or related discipline(Eg: BE/B.Tech- Chemical/Metallurgical)
• Should Have Management Skills
• Good knowledge of the practice of the mining sector
