Mine Engineer - Production
Position Summary: The Mine Engineer - Production role provides practical day-to-day support to the mine's production activities. This support includes performance metric monitoring, loss accounting resolution, collaborating equipment maintenance plans and improvements, assisting with the development and implementation of short range and long-range production work plans and projects.
Key Responsibilities:
•Support operations with technical expertise
•Mine cost reductions
•Dust control/air quality
•Production improvement projects in the mine
•Area budget, including capital spending and forecast
•Rock mechanics
•Engineering assistance and execution oversite on major mine projects
Activities:
•Research AFEs for mine projects
•Facilitate mine cost reductions
•Relieve for maintenance/production coordinators
•Develop production improvement projects in the mine
•Address ergonomic issues in the mine
•Track performance metrics and costs for department
•Capital planning
•Conduct tests on roof stability
•Design roof stability i.e. rock mechanics
•Mine tours
•Provide engineering assistance on major mine projects
•Assist MSHA in quarterly inspections and gas checks
•Provide geology support
Skill, Capability and Educational Requirements:
•B.S. Degree in Engineering
•Ability to acquire Wyoming Foreman Papers - Trona
•Mine Production experience in trona or a mineral with similar mining methods
Preferred Skills and Experience:
•Professional engineering license preferred
