ABOUT THE ROLE

This role will report to the Financial Controller and will also oversee financial and statutory reporting, audit oversight, developing and maintaining accounting policies and financial governance of all the MT foreign operations.

• Actively analyse performance and business environments - challenge thinking through providing innovative recommendations to maximise returns and support strategic initiatives
• Contribute to business and strategic plan development and implementation
• Lead and/or participate in business process integration - Concur, Inventory Handling standardisation (RSA), WO processing (RSA), SO/ST processing (RSA)
• Consolidate and co-ordinate international business stream reporting
• Drive improvement reporting initiatives - Critical dashboards in PowerBI
• Co-ordinate the month end forecast (EV, Cash flow and CAPEX) and budget activities and take responsibility for their completion and submission
• Co-ordinate the month end balance sheet reconciliations - Blackline
• Contribute to the development of a rental/leasing financial services model
• Assist with the South African BBBEE restructure
• Monitor in country compliance and manage rectification where required - Audit/AFS, Taxation, Statutory
• Assist with the establishment of an Egyptian branch and the future management of accounts and compliance of the Egyptian branch

ABOUT YOU

• Tertiary level qualifications in Business, Accounting
• Relevant post degree qualification or professional accreditation preferred (CA/CPA)
• More than five (5) years of appropriate responsible experience in a relevant role and business environment
• Demonstrated record of implementing effective and empowered organisational structures.
• Management experience (general and/or operational) with capability to establish strategic and business plans and oversee their successful delivery.
• Experience in researching, analysing and understanding complex information to develop and implement business solutions.
• Strong background in the use of standard financial and other relevant business software applications
• Commercial acumen and decision making
• Data Analysis and modelling skill
