An ASX listed independent Australian iron ore producer requires a short-term contract role for a Mine Planning Engineer.

The role
Reporting to the Technical Services Superintendent, this role is responsible for all production short term planning and/or drill and blast activities of the operations. The dynamic nature of this operation requires astute skills in short term planning specifically daily and weekly plans. Offered on an 8/6 roster with FIFO from Perth.
  
Key responsibilities
  • Produce daily and weekly mine planning and scheduling contributing to the long-term plan.
  • Completing drill and blast and mine pit designs
  • Evaluating and monitoring current methodology for continuous improvement


About you
  • Tertiary qualification in mining engineering or equivalent
  • Previous experience in drill and blast and/or short-term planning in a similar environment
  • Experience with Surpac
  • Valid C-class Manual Driving Licence
