Our Manawatu team is growing at a rate of knots, so we are now looking for a Project Manager to join our team based in Manawatu.
About the role:
Working closely with the Construction Manager you'll be an integral part of the team providing support with contract pipelines and bid management.
You'll work collaboratively across our Lower North Island teams to identify opportunities, consider opportunity-business fit, understand the key client requirements and then work with team to create compelling tenders before handing over to our operations team for delivery (providing you've done your job right!).

- Work collaboratively as part of a team, including liaising and coordinating the different disciplines including both local resources and the national bid team/bid writers
- Maintain visibility of forthcoming opportunities in the marketplace and assisting with strategic, long-term business planning with key internal stakeholders
- Work alongside and understand our clients, their needs and how we can deliver the best outcomes for them
- Build and maintain relationships, develop and enhance systems, create successful proposals, and add value throughout the business
- Co-ordinate with and manage all relevant stakeholders during all tender stages as required to ensure a professional quality product is provided
About you:
To do this, you'll need to bring with you a strong understanding and knowledge of our world coupled with bid management, tendering or estimating experience.
Your success in this role will come from your:
- Extensive experience with estimating, tendering and commercial knowledge
- Strong project management skills and the ability to drive the end-to-end bid strategy and proposal development
- Well-developed business acumen and the ability to think and act strategically
- Commitment to quality outcomes and continuous improvement
- A passion for working with and leading diverse teams to develop winning strategies and proposals
- Ability to communicate effectively across different levels of an organisation and good leadership skills
