Mechanic

Thyssen Mining has immediate positions available for Mechanics at various sites in the US including Tennessee.  Some positions will have potential for longer-term contracts.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Provide a safe work environment for yourself and others;
• Minimum 3 years experience;
• Experience with underground equipment, including Sandvik DD422 Jumbo Drill and DS411 Bolter;
• Experience working on surface equipment, including CAT908, 992 Loaders and 775 Haul Trucks;
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair surface and underground mining equipment;

• Ability to troubleshoot and repair various components and circuits;
• Ability to read and understand electrical and hydraulic schematics;
• Maintain a positive attitude and show a willingness to learn;
• Must be able to work shift work and travel;

• Current MSHA Underground Experienced Miner Training is an asset;
• You provide your own tools.
