About this role

What will you be responsible for?

Provide analysis, guidance, and administration compliance on Compensation pay practices and programs for the assigned Region. Actively participate in the design, execution and improvements of Regional compensation programs, policies and procedures consistent with Company's Total Rewards strategy, assuring internal equity and external competitiveness with the objective of supporting the attraction, retention and motivation of talent in a robust culture.

Rewards and Recognition (R&R) Annual Cycle
Participate in the Rewards and Recognition Focal Compensation cycle that includes:
• Merit program,
• Equity/Promotion program,
• Short Term Incentive Plan (STIP) and
• Stock program
• Data validation, data clean up and plan validation,
• Calculation: Calc validation and special cases manual calcs
• Letters creation, distribution and audit
• Q&A: Answer employees (corporate and expat) questions

Compensation Management
• We provide to day-today Compensation support to managers across the designated region; recommend solutions to Compensation issues to maintain equity and compliance with internal policies and external restrictions and laws
• We actively participate and collaborate cross-functional with HR and key functional leaders in order to find opportunities and solutions to Regional Compensation plans.
• We assess and stay abreast on labor market trends to allow the Region to remain competitive and ahead on meaningful Compensation topics such as, salary increases (merit, equity and/or promotion) and salary structure movements (if necessary), based on the market activities, inflation or devaluation, assuring internal equity and external competitiveness.
• Active participant and support to the Regional Manager in projects associated with driving consistency and standardization of Compensation programs and practices across the Region.
• We perform job evaluations on newly crafted or redesigned jobs. With an in depth understanding of internal Job structure, market pay data, and pay structures provide recommendations that ensure fair and consistent pay practices.
• Participate in the research, development and administration of the Production site Bonusprogram for the Regionand assess the success of these programs.
• Conduct and complete salary market surveys; continually reviews and adjusts survey matches.
• We provide counsel and assistance to management, HR and employees on current compensation processes, procedures and policies.
• Analyze changes in salaries or salary grades that deviate from policy or job structure and communicate findings and/or recommendations to management.
• Maintain and control position description and job evaluation records assigning global job codes to newly created and analyzed positions. Super user of Success factor includes requirements gathering, user acceptance testing (UAT), plan validation, data validation, data mapping exercises, manager self-service (MSS) training, functional application reviews, calculations, build / generate reports, and others.
• Create ad-hoc reports from the HRIS database as necessary.

Your training, skills, and experience checklist

Here is what we would need to see from you!

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Finance.
• Minimum 7 years HR experience, with at least 5 years directly related to compensation.
• Experience with heavy industry, mining, energy, or construction preferred
• Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inferences, and math fundamental.
• Success Factor experience preferred
• Extensive experience with statistical analysis and remuneration systems.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft (Excel, Word, and Power Point)
• Ability to solve practical problems in a diverse work environment.
• Effective written and oral communications are required.
• Experience with expatriates preferred.
• CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) designation desired.
• Prior experience with Job evaluation methodologies preferred.
• Ability to balance multiple projects

Working conditions and location

The preferred location for this position is Denver; qualified candidates outside the Denver area are also encouraged to apply.

• Flexible hours to accommodate regional/global meeting times
• Travel to sites will be required and is projected up to 10%.

The salary range offered for this role is $ 90,000 - 120,000 . The salary range is tied to the Colorado market for jobs performed in Colorado. The salary offer to the successful candidate will be based on job-related education, training, and/or experience. The salary offer will not be based on a candidate's salary history at other jobs, and by law, Newmont will not seek information about salary history, and candidates should not share such information with Newmont.

This role will be eligible for participation in a discretionary annual bonus program, pursuant to which an employee may be awarded a percentage of their salary based on the company's performance and their own individual performance.
