Position Overview

The Assistant Business Manager is an entry level role focused on supporting the business team with payroll, intercompany billings, human capital management, and administrative services. The business team at Kiewit Foundations supports multiple fast paced projects as well as managing all staff and craft payroll as they move around the country. To execute this roll effectively, the Assistant Business Manager must be extremely organized, be able to work in a team environment, be proactive, flexible, adaptable to the needs of the district, and a team player. The role will collaborate with multiple projects across the country. The Assistant Business Manager will report to the Business Manager.

Our experience and expertise cover a wide range of specialty foundation construction for both structural and ground improvement solutions. We operate in the transportation, power, water/wastewater, mining, building, industrial, and oil, gas, and chemical markets. Our rapidly growing foundations business, which includes drilled shafts, micro pile, driven pile, augercast-in-place pile, full displacement pile, soil mixing, support of excavation, anchors, tie-backs, stone columns, and other geotechnical solutions is a multi-faceted and leading-edge division of Kiewit focused on delivering differentiated solutions.

Location

This position is located at our Headquarters in Downtown Omaha, NE.

Responsibilities

• Recognizes the importance of being a team player both within the district by adapting to project needs and helping in other areas as needed
• Displays first-rate customer service skills - maintains a positive attitude and always willing to offer a helping hand to other team members
• Payroll support for staff and craft employees (hire, transfers, weekly payroll, human capital management)
• Providing day-to-day support with general administrative functions and team management needs
• Demonstrates understanding of the accounts payable process workflow and is able troubleshoot payment or vendor issues
• Helps troubleshoot IT and administrative questions from the operations staff
• Reconciles travel and purchase card expense reports
• Understands intercompany billing process workflow, importance of timely and accurate billing documentation
• Manage Project SharePoint Site and shared documents
• Maintains highly organized work environment, understands importance of time management, and communicates in a clear, concise, and effective manner
• Ability to maintain strict confidence of important, sensitive information and materials

Qualifications

• High School Diploma
• At least 1 year of experience in a professional setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Outstanding attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain strict confidence of important, sensitive information and materials
• Enthusiastic team player with an interest in helping the team stay connected and working effectively together
• Effective communication (both oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passionate for continuous improvement
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work in the United States without sponsorship, both now and in the future
• Must have a valid Driver's License
