Job Title: Manager of Environmental Social Governance (ESG)

Location: Mexico

Salary: $Attractive base + Bonuses + Full Relocation

The Role: We are partnering with a global future facing commodities mining company to identify a Mining Environmental Social Governance (ESG) leader who can develop & implement the mining asset and country framework, establish the strategy for the company in country and be the subject matter expert for the corporate and in country leadership team.

We will need someone who is resourceful, can work autonomously, ideally has experience in establishing an ESG platform from scratch or with very little, someone who possesses a strong ability in community and social relations in challenging operating jurisdictions.

The role will have a clear focus on developing a high performing Environmental department at the asset, there are already environmental professionals at the asset who you will lead, striving for continual improvement, build long term community engagement projects.

There is a focus on bringing an individual into the team with strong communication skills, ability to build relationships across the entire organisation, will have interactions with peer and leadership at other assets the company owns.

Key Responsibilities:

• ESG management across operation
• Leadership across compliance, requirements, regulations, standards
• Support site Environmental leaders
• Development & implementation of the asset ESG strategy
• Build framework, set up processes, systems, reporting etc

Key Requirements:-

• Degree qualification related subject
• Strong experience in Environmental management & ESG, Community, Social leadership
• Ideally possess considerable experience leading the environment function at corporate and / or site
• Ideally possess a strong understanding of mining
• Speak fluent English & Spanish
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Possess excellent ability to influence and be an effective collaborator
