Position: Electrical Engineer
Location: Pune, India
Type: Contract

An excellent opportunity to work for one of the largest engineering firm in the Kansas City. It is a global engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and consulting company specializing in infrastructure development in power, oil and gas, water, telecommunications, government, mining, data centers, smart cities and banking and finance markets.

Principal Duties & Key Responsibilities.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience per the below.
• Electrical engineer with electrical engineering experience in utility scale solar and/or wind projects, experience should include but is not limited to the following:
• Creating one-line drawings
• Creating collection system overall layout
• Power cable sizing, cable schedules
• Electrical equipment sizing and selection
• Experience with specifying and procuring electrical equipment (listed below).
• Understand and be able to work within a schedule and manhours budget
• Familiar with applicable IEC, NEC and IEEE/ANSI standards, or other international standards
• Electrical equipment includes but is not limited to: MV and LV switchgear, pad mount transformer, Transformer -GSUT, panel boards, breakers, protective relays, inverter, battery, battery chargers, disconnect switches, surge arrestors, dead front disconnect switch, medium voltage cable, low voltage cable, control cable, fiber optic cable,
• Prepares complex engineering calculations such as: load flow, short circuit and reactive capability analysis (ETAP or SKM), Arc flash analysis (ETAP or SKM), Cable ampacity study (CYMCAP or equivalent), grounding analysis, AC-DC voltage drop calculations, VOC/ISC calcs, AC/DC Cable sizing.
• Actively coordinate with others on the team
• Delegate and supervise work of younger engineers
• Communicate with upper management and provide status updates on engineering design activities.
• Working knowledge of process engineering software packages
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations
• Analytical thinker with interpersonal skills
• Direct and Open while resolving problems
• Excellent Oral and Written communication

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
Comfortable working in a fast-moving dynamic environment
