We are seeking a Environmental and Permitting Consultant.
Description of Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively within a team of technical specialists to develop innovative, practical, and cost-effective solutions for a diverse set of global projects and clients.
- Consult on projects for North American and international clients, requiring some travel.
- Conduct work primarily related to the mining industry, specifically mine permitting, reclamation and environmental aspects.
- Preparation of proposals, cost estimations, project management, environmental audits and due diligence reports.
Essential Requirements:
- An undergraduate degree in the physical sciences (e.g. Geology or Environmental Science) or engineering (e.g. Environmental or Geological);
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in the mining industry, some operations experience is required;
- Permitting, mine closure and reclamation experience;
- Knowledge of local environmental permit regulations is required, knowledge of federal environmental permit programs is a plus;
- Strong writing skills are required;
- Effective communication, management and leadership qualities; and
- Ability to establish and maintain client relationships.
