The role

We have an exciting and challenging opportunity for an experienced Contracts Administrator to support our regional sourcing and portfolio team reporting to the Senior Contract Administrator.

This position is responsible for managing the development, implementation, continuous improvement and execution of Newmont's strategic sourcing & portfolio management strategies, policies and guidelines to drive shared goals and objectives across the entire Supply Chain for goods and services. This position will execute Supply Chain's (SC) global strategic sourcing vision and build strong working relationships with internal client executives and external business partners.

This position is a permanent role and is Perth based in our Subiaco office. The Sourcing & Portfolio team currently works a hybrid Working From Home (WFH) model split between working remotely and working in the office.This is subject to change based on operational support requirements. Site visits will occasionally be required.

In this role, you will

  • Develop and execute of Newmont's strategic sourcing strategies for commodities and services
  • Interface with key client executives, ensure effective visibility of the GSM vision, and build and maintain strong working relationships with internal clients. Ensure internal client satisfaction.
  • Manage Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) in accordance with Newmont Supplier Risk Management (SRiM) guidelines
  • Monitor performance of contracts against contracted Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Provide contract technical expertise and support for continuous improvement
  • Escalate contractual issues to relevant stakeholders and coordinate the facilitation and resolution of issues
  • Ensure timely and effective preparation and evaluation of tenders, negotiation with tenderers, recommendations to internal customers and management for approvals, preparation of contract documentation, issuance of award of contracts and decline notices, general commercial administration and contract management and close out of contracts
  • Ongoing contract support and governance ensuring business partner adherence to Newmont terms
  • Reporting on the performance of existing contract to Contract Owners


The person

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Demonstrated work experience with contract law or contract management
  • Experience in coordinating requirements across multiple functions and managing multiple assignments.
  • Mining experience preferred
  • Strong computer skills using office software such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Knowledge of SAP or equivalent enterprise level software packages is preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
