Position Overview

The Tax Intern will work as a valuable member of the tax department. The intern will be responsible for work that is meaningful to the success of the department and the company. They will work as an active, full time member of the team throughout the summer.

This position is based out of Omaha, NE. This is a shared service center in a professional office setting.

Responsibilities

• Supporting tax department preparation of tax returns
• Respond to governmental notices
• Provide support for tax audits
• Preparation assistance for tax payments
• Research and analysis of tax issues
• Obtain and summarize information to support income tax filings
• Special projects as assigned

Qualifications

The candidate must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree emphasizing Accounting
• 3.0 or higher GPA
• Willing to work in Omaha, NE
• Strong organization skills
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office programs
• High level of drive / motivation
• Willing to work 40 hours per week during summer months
• Basic knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices
• Effective communication skills
