Job Summary/General Accountability

Reporting to the RBS Training Supervisor, the RBS Training Specialist is responsible for supporting the development and implementation of the RBS Training program as it pertains to Supply Chain. This individual is responsible for supporting the design and facilitating training programs, curriculum, and materials.

To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. Someone who is engaging and can work with minimal direction, but also works well collaborating with a team. You must be enthusiastic, positive, motivated, and be able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate should have an expansive knowledge of Supply Chain Management processes.

Work location: The position can work remotely from any where in Alberta or British Columbia. Travel to various Teck sites will be required to deliver onsite training.

Key Accountabilities
  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
  • Lead training sessions with the goal to build capacity and capability in end users
  • Improve Applications skills throughout departments by conducting classroom, virtual and field training for new and existing employees
  • Assist in maintaining effective Training programs by providing feedback/suggestions to the RBS Training Supervisor, concerning inadequacies and areas for improvement
  • Mentor and assist maintenance department employees on training progression
  • Develop RBS Applications training programs, videos, and resources
  • Responsible for scheduling, tracking, reporting, and other tasks, associated with training delivery.


Key Competencies

  • Experience in one of the following: Warehousing, Inventory, and or MRP
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written) and collaboration skills
  • Strong writing and computer skills required
  • Strong MS Office skills – Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience in IBM Maximo, or Ivalua would be an asset
  • Experience in public speaking, presenting, teaching, training, and/or delivering workshops is highly preferred
  • Proficiency or willingness to learn design tools, such as Camtasia and Articulate
  • Demonstrate ability to manage multiple training projects and collaborate with subject matter experts and key stakeholders
  • Ability to learn and understand applications quickly

  • This role will be required to travel when necessary.
  • Flexibility to work, days, evenings, weekdays, and weekends, during a Project implementation
