Position summary
ABOUT US:

Downer is a leading infrastructure group connecting industries and communities with vital infrastructure. Downer has a strong focus on Transport, Utilities, Facilities and Asset Services and is responsible for creating, operating and maintaining public and private assets serving millions of people every day.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Downer have secured a 10-year contract with leading water retailer South East Water. This will be 24/7 reactive maintenance on their water and wastewater assets. The contract will also include minor capital works. Due to obtaining this exciting new project within our Water Services portfolio, we will be looking to expand our already thriving and diverse workforce.

Reporting to the Project Manager, we have an opportunity for a Finance and Administration guru to provide day to day administration support to the SEW contract. As a seasoned Finance and Administration professional, you will utilise your Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and invoicing experience to contribute to the successful and efficient operations of a very meaningful contract. This position will be based at our central depot in Dandenong South.

The key responsibilities of the role include:
  • Prepare and raise purchase orders and ensure correct payment of invoices.
  • Manage new subcontractor and supplier set ups.
  • Provide payroll support and assist with weekly timesheet processing.
  • Assist with the coordination of staff training and development.

ABOUT YOU
  • Experience with JD Edwards (JDE) systems.
  • A strong track record of working within an Administration or Office Coordination role within a project environment or large enterprise.
  • A high attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • The desire and ability to build strong relationships internally and externally and represent the Downer brand and values.
