Solomon Water Services Mechanical Fitter Experienced
Work Location: Fortescue's Solomon mine is located on the traditional lands of the Eastern Guruma and Yindjibarndi peoples.
Roster: 7D/7N/7R or 7D/7R - 75% job share - FIFO ex Perth
Water Services seeking HD Fitter to service, repair and fault finding on diesel driven generator sets from 20KVA to 1250KVA.

- Installation and replacements of a range of diesel driven generator sets
- Perform total maintenance needs of all generator sets
- Installation, replacement, fault finding of diesel centrifugal pumps
- Perform total maintenance needs of diesel centrifugal pumps
- Perform effective trouble shooting including control system fault finding in conjunction with electrical team members
- Conduct regular servicing as per maintenance schedules
- Respond to high priority equipment breakdowns in a safe and timely matter to minimise impact to production and or critical services
- Accurately complete service history in the FMG Computerised Maintenance Management System
- Identify materials and parts requirements for re-order
- Raise SAP notifications for outstanding corrective maintenance tasks
- Actively participate in skills-based training applicable to this role
Qualifications and skills required:
- Trade Certificate HD fitter or Mechanical Fitter
- Be able to competently diagnose faults in diesel engines and various styles of pumps
- Use diagnostic software were applicable
- HR license
