Job Description:

Reporting to the Electrical General Foreman, and working in conjunction with the Electrical Planner, the successful candidate will be responsible for supervising and coordinating the daily activities of the hourly employees.

Responsibilities:

Ensure all Instrumentation work is done in a safe and effective manner
Maintain compliance with corporate, governmental and site environmental and safety policies, procedures and regulations
Create awareness of unsafe and/or harmful behavior
Provide leadership and direction necessary to ensure the operating integrity of the mine
Effectively communicate & coordinate Instrumentation activities within the department and to other departments
Direct activities of subordinates assigned to all phases of Instrumentation used in the mining process
Interpret specifications, drawings and work orders to subordinates and assign duties

Qualifications:

Qualifications:
Possess an interprovincial trade's qualification (Instrumentation) with 4-6 years' experience as a supervisor in mining or other related industry.
Valid drivers license (required)
Basic Common Core(preferred)
Common Core for Supervisors (preferred)
Good interpersonal and communications skills
Good organizational skills
Good trouble shooting skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
A working knowledge of AutoCAD (able to modify/correct drawings)
A working knowledge of Delta V DCS systems, Allen Bradley PLC systems
Familiar with computerized maintenance systems (4 Site)
Experience and knowledge of mill and hoist operations, and maintenance
Experience and knowledge of safe and efficient mine Instrumentation practices, procedures and regulations
