About the Role
WorkPac is seeking experienced Fixed Plant Mechanical Fitters to join the Plant Shut Maintenance teams to perform planned maintenance activities at Cape Lambert. Reporting to the Fixed Plant Supervisor, you will be required to maintain infrastructure through repairing and overhauling fixed plant equipment. You will complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area, conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets, maintain a high level of safety awareness and utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded and assigned correctly.

Skills & Experience
  • Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
  • Experience working on iron ore processing plants
  • Excellent diagnostic fault finding abilities
  • Extensive experience rebuilding and overhauling conveyor pulleys, warman and high pressure pumps, industrial drive gearboxes and gyrator crushers
  • Experience in fault finding hydraulic circuits, general fabrication, welding and oxy cutting
  • Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems
  • Manual C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence (minimum)
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space
  • High Risk- EWP, Rigging, Dogging, Forklift
