Golden Queen Mining Company, LLC (the “Company”) is operating a gold and silver, open pit, heap leach operation on its Soledad Mountain property, located just outside the town of Mojave in Kern County in southern California. The Project uses conventional open pit mining methods and the cyanide heap leach and Merrill-Crowe processes to recover gold and silver from crushed, agglomerated ore. This is a safety sensitive position.

The Company is seeking a Crusher Operations Supervisor for its Soledad Mountain Project (the “Project”) in Mojave. The Crusher Operations Supervisor will be responsible for working as shift foreman with one of four operating crews to oversee the operation of the crushing and screening plant and conveying and stacking system.

This position reports to the Crusher Operations General Foreman.

Major Responsibilities

The Crusher Operations Supervisor will then be responsible for one of four operating crews as set out below:

  • Responsible for shift operations at a gold and silver mine crushing and screening plant and conveying and stacking system.
  • Supervise the work of personnel engaged in performing routine operations at the crusher;
  • Plan and coordinate daily work assignments to achieve daily production targets;
  • Be responsible for quality assurance and quality control to ensure safe and consistent production results;
  • Work closely with maintenance personnel to properly identify and schedule maintenance activities;
  • Perform minor equipment repairs as needed;
  • Be responsible for the safe operation of the crusher areas during the shift with regular safety training of personnel and safety meetings to target a zero level of incidents; and
  • Effectively work with from five to seven employees during the shift.

Requirements

  • From 5 to 10 years of experience in crushing and screening plant and conveying and stacking systems;
  • Must have prior supervisory experience;
  • Experienced in metallurgical and environmental procedures and quality controls;
  • Effective communication skills – both oral and written, as well as solid interpersonal and problem solving skills;
  • High work standards and a professional presence and
  • The Project is small and results-oriented team needs a self-starter with the ability to drive projects forward as an active contributor.
  • Valid driver license required;
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
