Job title: OHS Advisor / Trainer - Underground Mine Site

Company: Australian Mining Owner

Location: 8:6 FIFO from Perth

Salary: $150k - $155k base plus super

Scope: Substantial WA Mining Operations

The Role: Join the Health & Safety team at this large underground mining operation in WA. Preferential roster out of Perth and attractive salary package on offer for passionate H&S individuals who have experience operating underground on previous mining operations. Core focus:
  • Demonstrate exceptional safety leadership in line with company values
  • Help to further develop a strong safety culture across site
  • Oversee and take part in safety investigations, risk assessments, corrective actions and supporting processes where applicable
  • Provide input for health & safety training methods
  • Provide advice and assistance to managers and supervisors on all HSE matters
  • Review, improve and implement procedures for HSE management
  • Complete safety investigations and reporting
  • Identify HSE training needs for the operation


Key Requirements

  • Operational Underground Mining experience - Required
  • Minimum of Cert IV in OHS
  • Cert IV in Training and Assessing will be highly regarded
  • ICAM investigation experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with all levels of the company
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritise own workload and work unsupervised
  • Ability to manage time and resources
