How will you contribute to the team?

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
  • Follows and complies with Company, Project and Document Controls Function procedures and techniques.
  • Establish and maintain document control processes and procedures including sensitive information management and permissions management commiserate with company standards.
  • Develop and provide training, guidance and coaching in the areas of responsibility for direct reports, internal and external customers.
  • Implement options to improve efficiency, reduce operating cost.
  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of Document Control staff to ensure document management across the Projects are effectively managed with consistent performance and value added.
  • Provide accurate and timely status reporting metrics of all pertinent document control functions.
  • Provide document management oversight on the project and ensure that systems and procedures are being properly utilized.
  • Ensure the project is properly resourced with competent Document Controls staff.
  • Support management with respect to the selection, appraisal in accordance with the competency assessment guideline, and training of competent Document Controls staff.
  • Responsible to oversee, implement, maintain, and support the continued development of tools, systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Other duties as required.


What will you contribute?
  • 8 - 10 years' experience in Document Controls within the EPC industry, with minimum of 5 years' experience at a mid/senior level.
  • Successful performance of Document Controls roles supporting, Contract Management, Commercial, Planning & Scheduling and Engineering
  • Proven ability in managing and developing Document Controls systems, tools processes and procedures within the engineering and construction sector.
  • Effective communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong team leader, proven interpersonal and relationship skills, self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative.
  • Ideally experienced in Mining sector.
  • Role might require travel.


IT Skills:
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite
  • Comprehensive knowledge of EDMS applications/ Aconex
  • Working comprehension of standard database administration


People Skills:
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to influence, mentorship skills, and relationship building skills.
  • Interpersonal, organizational, analytical, managerial and communication skills.
  • Negotiating skills to be able to work with customers (both internal and external) to meet project objectives.


Location:

This will be a secondment to one of our clients within the British Columbia area.

Local candidates preferred but will be willing to offer an in and out conditions if the successful candidate is not a local.
