Reporting to the Administrator Training and Development, the Senior Maintenance Training Coordinator is responsible for the development, implementation, and delivery of the training required for the Elkview Mine Maintenance Department.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with excellent interpersonal, communication and team management skills, who has a passion for contributing to other people’s personal and professional growth. We require someone with the ability to schedule training and keep accurate records of all training events. Lastly, this role requires someone with strong attention to detail and the ability to adapt and prioritize contending demands in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
- Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures
- Provide and source training which includes job based, and developmental instruction using materials that have been created internally and externally
- Deliver comprehensive training based on safe work practices and training requirements, including lesson plans for apprentices and OEM Training
- Provide direction to management and collaborate with multiple departments to determine, prepare, and develop training needs and priorities, assess training programs, and develop training courses, plans, and solutions
- Deliver lectures and presentations
- To be a partner with the other sites to help develop training content for Journeypersons and apprentices
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Red Seal Ticket
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in either a trade, training or supervisor role
- Strong experience in Project Management and Change Management
- Excellent digital literacy and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite®; Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workloads
