Dynamic Earth Solutions (DES) specializes in site planning, spatial information and digital terrain modeling, surface and subsurface investigations, rock mechanics, underground structures, geotechnical laboratory services, flood forecasting and water resource management through our geotechnical, hydrotechnical, and civil site development expertise.

Job Summary:

Hatch is an employee-owned, multidisciplinary professional services firm that delivers a comprehensive array of technical and strategic services, including Consulting, Information Technology, Engineering, Process Development, and Project and Construction Management to the Mining, Metallurgical, Energy, and Infrastructure, and nuclear sectors. Hatch has served clients for over 80 years and has project experience in more than 150 countries around the world. Established in Canada in 1955, we have grown to a team of more than 9,000 people in over 65 offices, the firm has more than $35 billion in projects currently under management.

Hatch is currently looking for a 4 monthCivil Engineering Technology co-opstudent to start inSeptember 2022at our Mississauga office.

Responsibilities:

• Perform assignments related to civil works drainage, utilities, earthworks, and roads.
• Assist with preparation of detailed design for civil engineering infrastructure/utilities projects.
• Support preparation of drawings from detailed notes and specifications.
• Coordination with other technicians in designing drainage and utilities provision for development, urban regeneration and transportation projects.
• Provide support to Senior Engineers and Designers as and when needed.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering Technology co-op program from an accredited college.
• In good academic standing.
• Extracurricular involvement; enthusiastic and ambitious.
• Experience with CADD (MicroStation and/or Inroads and AutoCAD Civil 3D), AutoTURN (would be an asset), Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook).
• Self-motivated with good organizational capability.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
