About the Role:
Workpac are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for an opportunity with our industrial services client based in Brisbane.
Working within the Payroll Team the successful candidate will be is accountable for ensuring employees are paid in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with relevant industrial instruments and employment contracts. This role will be working Monday to Friday full time hours out of our Clients Milton Office in Brisbane. This position is for an initial 6 months with the view to go full time, permanent with the client.
Key Duties:

• Accountable for employee payroll processing ensuring payroll is completed in an accurate and timely manner
  
• Provide support to managers, supervisors and administrators on payroll related costs
  
• Ensure compliance with industrial instruments and relevant payroll legislation
  
• Deliver the highest standard in professional conduct, personal presentation and company image
  
• Contribute to maintaining a respectful workplace for all employees
  

Experience Required:

• Proven experience in a multi site and multi agreement payroll environment
  
• Proven ability to interpret industrial instruments
  
• Proven excellent communication skills and ability to work with various levels within the Organisiation
  
• Knowledge of statutory payroll requirements
  
• Payroll systems knowledge such as Preceda, Kronos preferred
  
• Must have full working rights in Australia
