Our people division is growing, and we are looking for a Machinist in our Carlin Central Shop department.

• Must Meet all Machinist I Criteria
• Heat Treating - Safely demonstrate proficiency in heat treating AISA 4140 1 round rod to Rockwell 60 using air, water or oil. or a combination of any, and able to test rockwell hardness with tester.
• Thread Cutting - Safely demonstrate proficiency in cutting left hand and right-hand threads; internal and external. Safely demonstrate proficiency in cutting right hand threads; internal and external. Safely demonstrate proficiency in cutting Acme and pipe threads.
• NC Accura Mill - Safely demonstrate proficiency in programming and operating the Accura Mill.
• Lathe - Safely demonstrate proficiency in set-up to determine off-set to machine eccentric shafts.
• Horizontal Boring Mill - Safely demonstrate proficiency in setting up and operating the Horizontal Boring Mill.
• Works effectively with other crews.
• Maintains the ability to follow directions & to complete quality work.
• Demonstrates appropriate positive behaviors toward assignments.
• Grinding - Proficient in setting up tool post grinder on lathe and grind tolerance to + or - .005 and grind finish to 32.
• Removal and Installation of Bearings, Gears and Couplings - Safely demonstrate proficiency in removal of bearings, gears and couplings without inflicting damage to components with proper tool. Must be able to determine proper temperatures required for removal and installation of gears, bearings and couplings. Must be able to measure clearance for fit, with micrometers, on shafts to bearings, couplings, and gears.
