Position summary
The DM Roads business provides a range of services in road network management. We assist road and intelligent transport systems (ITS) asset owners to extract maximum value from their assets and provide road networks that meet the demand of today's ever-changing environment.

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our DM Roads team based in Epping, VIC. The focus of this role is to develop and manage all aspects of service delivery, ensuring effective management of resources and contractual obligations are adequately delivered. Previous experience leading an end to end delivery team with an emphasis on scheduling, quality, planning and project management to ensure works are completed on time within a roads/civils environment will ensure your success in this position.

ABOUT YOU

Ideally, you will be degree qualified in Civil Engineering or a related discipline and possess substantial exposure in driving projects or services, asset and resource planning and project management. You will also possess;

• Experience gained within road asset management, professional services and maintenance works
• A thorough knowledge of contracts, scope of works and the specifications and the technical and engineering requirements on which the contracts are based
• Ideally you possess sound financial literacy and business acumen with the ability to think strategically whilst managing the day to day operational needs
• A successful track record of proactively building relationships with key stakeholders and developing new business opportunities
• A proactive approach to change management with the capacity to lead and inspire teams.
• Negotiation and influencing skills to achieve desired outcomes
• Strong safety focus - actively participate in and support Downer Zero Harm initiatives and strategies
