About the role

We are looking for a Planner-Scheduler to ensure that maintenance work is planned in accordance with all Federal, State, and Rio Tinto/KUCC safety and environmental policies and to provide job instructions to safely complete all maintenance tasks. You will be responsible for overseeing and organizing information to increase the efficiency of the company projects, complying with reports and factors to assist in the decision-making process to ensure production part transitions well.

This role is a great opportunity to join the maintenance team at the KUC Tailings facility and build your career as a maintenance professional. Working 5 days on /2 off the roster and reporting to the Senior Maintenance Coordinator, you will be:
  • Scoping and planning maintenance activities to include job instructions, materials, specialty tools, and drawings as required.
  • Creating and maintaining a zero-based maintenance budget
  • Ordering and tracking long lead maintenance materials
  • Creating and maintaining standard work instructions
  • Reviewing maintenance notifications and work orders daily
  • Creating parts material numbers and updating bills of materials as needed

What you will bring
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of related technical experience
  • Prior experience using SAP in a maintenance capacity
  • Advanced abilities with Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbal/written) with stakeholders at all levels

It will also be beneficial if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
