We are seeking Regional Technology Partners to facilitate opportunities for regional technology deployments and influence operational plans and people to build a culture that embraces new technology. These roles form the critical links between key stakeholder groups within Rio Tinto Exploration, new exploration technologies and operational projects, driving implementation of high-value technology opportunities.

Our exploration technical knowledge team within the Rio Tinto Exploration business, is responsible for transforming the way we find, evaluate and mine resources by developing and implementing ground-breaking technologies as part of our rapidly changing, data rich world.

Reporting to the Chief Geoscientist Exploration Technology, working as part of a global innovative team, you will:

• Leverage technology to make Rio Tinto Exploration a more efficient and more effective explorer
• Identify opportunities for Regional technology deployments to sustain the discovery pipeline
• Influence operational plans, workflows and people to build a culture that embraces new technology with curiosity, agility, energy, passion, evolution and innovation
• Support the identification and monitoring of new and emerging technologies and be involved in targeted technology development projects
• Drive effective collaboration and transparency with other Regional Technology Partners, the Technology Portfolio Manager and Technology Program Leaders
• Secure leadership endorsement and operational resources for technology trials and implementations
• Facilitate targeted development, proof-of-concept trials, operational trials and operational deployment of endorsed technologies within host Region
• Monitor value generation, successes and failures from technology deployments
• Facilitate replication and optimisation of successful technologies in-Region and cross-Region
• Develop Regional Operational Technology Champions to build sustainable succession options
