Business Analyst (Commercial Treasury)

About the role

We are looking for a Business Analyst (Commercial Treasury) to join our commercial treasury team in Singapore.

You will bring to life business solutions via automation, software development and analytical applications. The role requires strong knowledge in mathematics and statistics, advanced programming skills and extensive financial knowledge to aid in providing quantitative solutions to all aspects of the business.

Reporting to Director Quantitative Strategy, in this role you will:

* Develop software and analytics to further develop Treasury's firmwide mandates: liquidity risk, risk management, trade execution, cash & collateral management, funding optimization.

* Digitize processes and data flows through automation that will allow the application of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning.

* Perform effective analytics and provide automated programming solutions to the business and Group Treasury to enhance data-driven decision making.

* Establish the code base of Treasury reporting and coordinate implementation of existing reports into Group-wide systems for integrated reporting purposes.

* Perform quantitative analysis and facilitate business understanding of technical results.

About you

To succeed in this role, you will have:

* Minimally a bachelor's degree in computer engineering or equivalent

* Up to 3 years of relevant experience

* Solid background in computer programming: Python, C++, Java, or equivalent language, preferably in large scale financial or technical computations

* Expertise in some aspect of quantitative analysis, e.g. mathematics, physics, statistics, stochastic calculus, scientific computing, econometrics, machine learning algorithms, financial modelling

* Strong software design experience

* Experience with financial markets and assets, with a preference for fixed income, counterparty credit risk and risk management.

* Excellent communication skills, including experience speaking to technical and business audiences and working globally across multiple regions.
