About the role

We are looking for a Human Resources Administrator to ensure administration of the data related to human resources management and operation of software to process this data. The successful candidate must also provide administrative support to the Human Resources Department team in terms of internal and external staffing, classification and compensation of jobs, labour relations and application of the policies and rules in place.

This is an excellent opportunity to develop within a dynamic HR team.

Based in Labrador City and reporting to the Manager - Human Resources, you will have the following main duties:
  • Participate actively in the development, operation and maintenance of the data management systems;
  • Participate in the deployment, communication and updating of human resources management programs, policies, procedures and tools;
  • Propose the necessary changes, as needed, in order to standardize management practices;
  • Respond to various requests regarding the human resources management systems and the company's procedures;
  • Perform various related tasks, such as compilation and drafting of reports and documents.

What youll bring
  • A College diploma or university degree related to human resources, data management, office automation or any other relevant combination of education;
  • 3 years of experience in a position related to database administration;
  • Show autonomy and initiative;
  • Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word and Excel);
  • Show discretion and respect for confidentiality;

Assets:
  • Knowledge of SAP;
  • Fluency in French;
  • Work experience in human resources.

The Iron Ore Company of Canada (IOC) is a leading Canadian producer of iron ore concentrate and iron ore pellets that serves customers worldwide. The company operates a mine, a concentrator and a pelletizing plant in Labrador City, Newfoundland and Labrador, as well as port facilities in Sept-les, Quebec. It also operates a 418 kilometer railroad that links the mine to the port.
