About the role

We are looking for a Procurement Business Partner, who will lead the West Pilbara BP team, responsible for providing commercial support to the Pilbara Mines (West) sites, engage with Procurement teams to ensure our strategies align with organisational goals, play a key role in the operationalisation of the strategies and support the development of local and Indigenous relationships.

Part of the broader procurement team that supports RTIO's supply chain assets across the West Pilbara and reporting to the Senior Business Partner, PMO & PIA, you will;
  • Work across the end-to-end procurement process, driving local procurement outcomes
  • Enhance social, environmental and financial value as a key stakeholder in the development of category strategies, to ensure Regional and Global commercial strategies are aligned with divisional priorities
  • Lead interactions with divisional leadership for projects led by your team, or Global and Regional procurement colleagues, and identify opportunities to enhance value by proposing new initiatives impacting divisional performance
  • Leverage partnerships and the holistic workforce approach to improve indigenous employment outcomes and conducting sustainable direct engagement with Pilbara Aboriginal Businesses
  • Collaborate with our Contractor Management teams and our key contract Partners to develop their safety maturity and to improve safety performance

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • Strong leadership skills, to develop an engaged team and embed a people-first culture
  • Stakeholder Partnership skills requiring including curiosity, flexibility and facilitation to build and maintain trust that are key to relationship development with our key internal and external stakeholders.
  • A desire to build vision for and support our business partner transformation, as we
  • Experience in commercial analysis and negotiation, contract review and/or supply chain analysis
  • Experience in contract and/or category management
  • Exceptional commercial acumen
  • Tertiary qualifications in an internationally recognised degree in either Business, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
