About the role

We are looking for a Fixed Asset Business Partner to assist business with the maintenance of its fixed asset registers and linking the individual assets to its functional location in SAP

Reporting to Manager: Financial Accounting & Treasury and working in a collaborative community within local team, you will be performing the following duties:
  • Reconciliation of the Group and Statutory reporting fixed asset registers to fixed assets valuations;
  • Linking of functional locations to master fixed assets in SAP;
  • Physical verification and useful life assessment of all assets;
  • Alignment between all the different fixed asset registers maintained in SAP;
  • Alignment of useful lives and depreciation keys between all fixed asset areas;
  • Clean-up of fixed asset registers (including but not limited to disposals, impairments etc.);
  • Clearing of manual asset accounts to include all assets in fixed asset registers;
  • Assist with any ad-hoc requests linked to fixed assets.
  • Ensure Group and Statutory reporting fixed asset registers align and comply with Company and Group policies, IFRS and Company tax legislation.

What youll bring

  • University B Com degree (Finance discipline)
  • Completed SAIPA/SAICA articles
  • Minimum 2 years Accounting experience (after articles)
  • Knowledge of SAP FI (Finance) and PR (Projects) modules
  • Mining industry experience (preferable)
