We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer: Energy Management to plan and oversee decarbonisation projects throughout the project cycle from the initial idea through to completion by coordinating people and processes to deliver projects on time, within budget and with the desired outcomes aligned to objectives withing the Energy Management Department .

The Energy Management Department is responsible to ensure the development, implementation, monitoring and sustainability of the company's energy management and emissions reduction initiatives in line with company's strategy and statutory requirements.

Reporting to the Manager: Energy Management and working in a collaborative community within local team, you will be performing the following duties:
  • Ensure effective Technical and Project execution - compile, develop and assist with project planning, scoping and approval toward supporting execution. Ensure effective Project management and Construction
  • Monitor progress, take appropriate corrective action and ensure adherence to programs and liaison between the various stakeholders.
  • Cost and budget control - Compilation of the projects budget, monitoring and forecasting expenditure on a monthly basis
  • SHEQ management - ensure projects are executed in a safe and timeous manner in terms of time, quality, design cost, closeout and final handover. Ensure safety, health and environmental standards and practices are implemented for assigned projects.What you'll bring
  • 4-year Engineering Degree.
  • Project Management qualification and Registered Pr Tech / Pr Eng with ECSA. (Advantageous).
  • EB Licence
  • 5 years project management in a heavy industry mining and smelter environment with relevant construction management.
  • Experience in handling commercial aspects of renewable power plant projects from construction to financial close.
  • Multi-disciplinary Project management experience
