Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced Technical Training Advisor to join our high performing small team based at Telfer during an exciting period of transformation. Reporting to the Senior Advisor-Technical Training, you will be providing training, assessment and advice to department supervisors and employees on the application of Newcrest training and capability requirements.

Your responsibilities will include :
  • Driving the development and maintenance of all training activity at Telfer operations
  • Manage training programs and projects as direct by the Senior Technical Training Advisor
  • Conduct training needs analysis at individual operator level with a focus on safety and productivity
  • Assist with the development and monitoring of the department training plan
  • Ensure document control protocols are adhered to
  • Conduct audits on training material, training resources and facilities as required
  • Providing advice and recommendations to the Senior Technical Training Advisor on the effectiveness and efficiency of site training and assessment activities
  • Maintain in house training courses and programs in a site training calendar/schedule

This is a permanent FIFO role from Perth with the current roster for this role 8 days on/ 6 days off.

About You

Qualified with a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116), you will have demonstrated competency site-based training and assessing. Experience working with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and SAP is ideal but not essential. As an experienced Training Advisor across mining or heavy industry background with a trade skillset (preferably mining). You should also have a passion for compliance and process improvement and have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your ability to work to structure, experience in stakeholder and change management along with ability to prioritise and think quickly on your feet will ensure your success in the role. Proficient use of MS Office and ability to operate training systems will also be required for the role.

Accredited tickets in High-Risk areas such Confined Space, Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Cranes, Forklifts and or small mobile equipment's etc, would be considered highly advantageous.

Mandatory: Heavy Rigid Licence (HR), Manual Drivers Licence, Mobile Equipment -Verification of Competency (VOC) required.
