Downer are proudly supporting a range of exciting Transport projects across Dunedin. The Downer Transport division is highly respected and has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work across the country. We are looking for an experienced or up-and-coming STMS to join our kapa.

As a Downer Traffic Management Operative (formerly known as a Traffic Controller), you will assist with Temporary Traffic Management under the direction of a Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS). Ultimately you will work to ensure the safety of your crew and the public through clear and accurate direction of traffic. You will also:

• Help with sign and cone placement and pack down
• Assist with stop/go activity
• Driving duties

Along with your positive attitude, commitment to quality, and a supportive and safe workplace, there are a few other essentials to what we are looking for:

• A Class 1 full New Zealand license required and an interest in learning to drive small trucks
• Show us you are willing and able to fit in with our enthusiastic and competent team - In return we will provide you with the needed skills, training and certifications!
• Hold strong planning and problem solving skills with the ability to deal with unexpected events
• If you can commit to work Monday - Friday with the flexibility to work weekends and on call, then we really want to hear from you!
