About the Project

This is your opportunity to join the Redpath team on an underground development project at Narrabri Coal Operations, 7 on 7 off roster and working 12 hour days.

The Narrabri Coal Operations mine site is located approximately 28km southeast of the township of Narrabri.

The project will be executed utilising Cut and Flit mining methodology. Equipment will include a Joy 12CM12 Continuous Miner, Waracar Shuttlecar, Joy Multibolter, Sandvik LS190 LHD's, Driftrunners and Conveyors. This project provides an exciting opportunity for operators and tradespeople alike.

Redpath is excited about establishing a presence in New South Wales and working with Narrabri Coal Operations throughout the next two years.

About the role

• achieves safe, timely and cost effective electrical installation and maintenance for the project;
• conduct regular workplace inspections, fault testing and observations to maintain compliance with safety, efficiency and statutory standards;
• provide electrical trades labour and guidance for electrical apprentices/trades assistance when required;
• prepare shifts reports detailing work performed;
• ensure electrical works are performed to good practice standards and in accordance with all statutory rules;
• ensure all work is carried out in accordance with the relevant SOP's and WI's.

We are looking for

• current NSW Electrical Worker Board licence;
• current High Voltage - As 3000 to mining certificate;
• extensive experience in electrical installation and maintenance in an underground coal mining environment;
• experience with trouble shooting on mine electrical equipment;
• experience in high voltage work;
• current First Aid, CPR and Switchboard Rescue Qualification Certificates;
• Manual driver's license
• A positive work ethic and attitude in keeping with Redpath's motto, Consider it done - safely.
