Job Details
Reporting to the Supervisor Mobile Maintenance, the role of Operator Auto Electrician is to safely maintain Heavy Vehicle (HV) mobile plant equipment and execute the work arising from breakdowns and work orders while also carrying out preventative maintenance to the correct standards of safety and quality to ensure equipment availability.
The role is 7/7 roster, Fly-in/Fly-out from Townsville, Brisbane or Cairns or Drive-in/Drive-out from the Mount Isa

- Demonstrate a commitment to Cannington's Environmental Management System (EMS) and manage the potential environmental impacts of work activities in accordance with Cannington standards and procedures.
- Taking the initiative to improve your work, the overall business and promote the goals of the organisation.
- Working effectively and collaterally with immediate colleagues and others in cross-functional relationships, on tasks within the context of Cannington's vision to be the safest, most efficient underground hard rock mining and processing operation
You'll be a great fit if you have:
- Trade qualifications as an Auto Electrician
- SAP PM Proficiency.
- Understanding of common OEM engine management control systems
- Diagnosis and repair automotive and earthmoving electrical systems
- Sound understanding of Electrical over Hydraulic systems
- Sound understanding of CAT Websis and other OEM digital platforms
- Electrical maintenance skills relating to underground drilling equipment e.g. Sandvik D421 and Atlas Copco Simba drill rigs
- Ability to manage, influence and work within a multi discipline maintenance team
- Highly motivated self-starter
- Well-developed communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to efficiently utilise the preferred computerised maintenance management system (SAP) or have had exposure to another similar systems
- Ability to efficiently navigate and utilise computer networks and applications
- Ability to work in an underground mining environment as required
