As our Predictive Maintenance Technician, you will implement tactical asset management strategies through the effective use of Predictive Maintenance (PdM) strategies and Preventive Maintenance (PM) strategies, to optimize safety and production goals. Every day you will work at a mine on a remote island about 18 miles outside of Juneau, Alaska. You will start every day organizing, scheduling, and prioritizing work activities to promote a safe, healthy, and accident-free work environment. You will be called upon to gather baseline and operational data on critical equipment assets. You will utilize the data to monitor and refine equipment operational performance ensure assets meet their design parameters. To thrive in this role, you will need to understand and utilize various PdM Strategies and the technology associated with each (Lubrication, Ultrasonic, Thermography, and Vibration Analysis along with other precision maintenance techniques), to perform condition monitoring and predict potential equipment failures in a proactive maintenance environment. We’re on a remote island; you must know how to work independently, as well as identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

The Greens Creek Mine, located on Admiralty Island 18 miles south of Juneau, is an underground polymetallic mine operating since 1989, employing approximately 450 people.   • Training first. Every new hire is provided MSHA training. We provide department-level task training to be able to complete tasks safely and effectively.
  • Safety is important. Every piece of equipment and each work area must be inspected before work starts. You will promote and personally observe safety procedures.
  • YouProvide input for planned equipment maintenance and PM strategies.
  • You support maintenance technicians with troubleshooting of equipment.
  • You effectively analyze results and develop corrective actions.
  • Youcommunicate effectively with key stakeholders to include accurate and timely information related to work performed and equipment conditions.
