Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Washbay Technician to join our Cortez District Open Pit Maintenance Team.

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Open Pit Washbay Technician to join our Cortez District Open Pit Maintenance Team.
Responsibilities:
- Daily fuel bay and wash bay duties to include fueling and light mechanical servicing of equipment
- Washing equipment in preparation for PM work that requires focus on safety
- Work management, equipment reliability, maintenance cost, performance management, and promoting a team environment between mobile maintenance and other work groups
- Maintaining personal hand tools for functionality and cleanliness
- Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in all work areas to provide a safe and healthy workplace for all employees, contractors, and vendors
- Establishing work relationships necessary to efficiently execute the daily maintenance activities through his/her assigned zone
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Basic mechanic aptitude preferred
- Previous experience in an underground mining environment preferred
- Ability to operate various types of moving equipmentpreferred
- Basic computer skills required
- Proven strong record of work safety as well as work attendance required
- Ability to perform the essential function of the position required
