Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Electrical General Supervisor at our Turquoise Ridge operations. The Electrical General Supervisor will prioritize and assign personnel as the job requires; provide leadership to the group to ensure the goals of the company are achieved in the safest most productive manner possible

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the safe execution of reliability and process control activities for various types of equipment.
  • Support the objectives of Maintenance Superintendent
  • Ensure that all maintenance service activities operate within safety, security, and environmental policies and regulations to protect the employees and assets of the company
  • Participate in maintenance planning processes
  • Ensure that departmental condition monitoring and reliability objectives are met
  • Coordinate company policies and procedures
  • Support operational objectives by minimizing risks and improving value, focusing on cost management
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Five to ten years' experience in an unground Electrical - I&C environment preferred
  • Five years of supervisory experience required
  • Professional communication skills with various levels of employees both verbally and in writing required
  • Excellent leadership skills and knowledge of influencing other required
  • Satisfactory safety, performance and attendance record required
  • Team based work skills required
  • Proven safe work record required
  • Willingness to work in a team based maintenance organization required
  • Demonstrate ability to perform the essential functions of this job required

About Nevada Gold Mines

Nevada Gold Mines is a joint venture between Barrick Gold Corporation (61.5%) and Newmont Goldcorp Corporation (38.5%), combining their significant assets across Nevada to create the single largest gold-producing complex in the world and realize the full potential of these mines through synergies and best-in-class operational improvements.

The massive mining operation comprises 8 mines along with their associated infrastructure and processing facilities that produced an estimated 4 million ounces of gold in 2018. Three of these assets are Tier One gold mines: Barrick's Cortez; the combination of Barrick's Goldstrike and Newmont Goldcorp's Carlin; and the combination of Barrick's Turquoise Ridge and Newmont Goldcorp's Twin Creeks. In addition, Barrick's Goldrush-Fourmile project has the potential to become the fourth Tier One asset in this portfolio.
