Title: Site Civil/Municipal Engineering EIT – Engineering New Graduate - Calgary, Alberta

Position Summary:
Dynamic Earth Solution Group (DES) is looking for a graduate Civil/Municipal engineer to join the team. Reporting to the Practice Lead you will support projects globally based out of our Calgary location.

Responsibilities:

The graduate engineer will be working under the supervision of a senior member in the team to deliver:

  • Overall earthworks design for diverse projects
  • Design access roads for mining, energy, and infrastructure related facilities
  • Conduct hydrology studies and design drainage and stormwater management systems
  • Design site grading
  • Assistance with calculations, 3D model preparation, and drawings production
  • Close collaboration with other disciplines such as Structure, Mechanical, piping, and Electrical
  • Client and site support, including vendor fabrication assistance


Education and Experience:

  • Must be working towards graduating in 2022, or recently graduated, with a Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Engineering from an accredited university within the Civil engineering specialization
  • Be eligible for registration as an EIT with a provincial engineering body upon graduation
  • Excel academically while being actively involved in extra-curricular and/or volunteer activities at school or in the community
  • Preferred academic courses include hydrology, hydraulics, transportation, municipal engineering, pavement design, construction management, geotechnical
  • Willingness and ability to travel to project sites including remote sites
