Job Description
Reporting to the Financial Controllers, this position is responsible for providing financial planning support and analysis for the operating and development activities of the Tasiast mine site.
Job Responsibilities
• Assist with the preparation of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts with inputs from operations, exploration and administrative areas of the mine.
• Manage information and database files on the site budgeting software, Xeras.
• Upload the approved budgets into JDE.
• Preparation of internal reporting and analysis for internal distribution, including review of cost information.
• Provide performance analysis and present financial results at the monthly cost review meetings.
• Attend cost review meetings and take notes of minutes/actions to share with Controllers & Senior Planning and Performance Analyst.
• Provide monthly account analysis on certain balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigate anomalies and prepare corrective accounting entries.
• Ad hoc reporting as required.

• Innovative and creative approach to setting goals and objectives for continuous improvement.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and oral.
• Fluent in English and French.
2. Functional job skills
• Experience of accounts payable modules in ERP accounting packages, preferably JDE.
• Several years' experience of financial planning and analysis, preferably in the mining sector.
• Experience of working with budgeting software.
• Experience of cost accounting, analysis and control.
• Good IT skills in Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn quickly and act on new information.
3. Leadership skills
• Ability to effectively communicate with a variety of people at various levels, internally and externally.
• Commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Commitment to working with integrity and understanding of how to ensure compliance with business ethics.
4. Qualifications
• Degree from an authorized institution in finance, corporate finance, business administration, accounting, economics or other closely related courses.
